How often do you see Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Pankaj Udhas and Louis Banks get together with other singers on stage?
It was a special occasion when we saw it all happen, when Tata Sky launched a music service on a Pay TV platform called Music +.
Presenting images and performances from the event.
Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa -- who will co-curate all the content on Music + -- mesmerised the audience with a live jam session.
Ghazal singer Neha Rizvi wowed the audience with three songs from the Mehfil genre.
Neha sang an original composition, Gairon Se Milo Tum, a wonderful rendition indeed!
Band of Boys' Sherrin Varghese was next on stage, starting off with the Malayalam number, Adipoli.
Sherrin also sang Sapno Se Bhare Naina from Luck By Chance.
Singer, television anchor and radio jockey Mihir Joshi commenced his performance by showcasing his Mumbai traffic woes with a number from his album, Mumbai Blues.
Mihir, who sang five songs from Mumbai Blues, also sang the blues number Gravity by John Mayer.
Ghazal maestro Pankaj Udhas made a rare appearance and obliged Malishka, the show's emcee, by singing a stanza fom his famous ghazal, Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera.
Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Sky, told the audience while there are several music channels on Indian television, "we felt there is a need for a destination that showcases unique genres like Sufi, Qawwali, Folk, Jazz, Country and more. Now, with the launch of Music+, Tata Sky subscribers can access the best of these genres, on their television screens, any time of the day."
