Stars flood Kapil Sharma's reception

Last updated on: December 26, 2018 14:14 IST

What a moralebooster for the comic returning to our television screens this weekend!

When Kapil Sharma appeared on the Kaun Banega Crorepati finale last month, Amitabh Bachchan promised the comedian -- who returns to television after a long hiatus this weekend -- that he would attend Kapil's wedding.

Big B wasn't spotted in Jalandhar when Kapil wed Ginni Chatrath on December 12 or at the Anand Karaj the next day.

Strangely, Big B was missing at Ginni and Kapil's Mumbai reception on December 24, never mind his promise made in front of KBC's huge audience.

He made it to Isha Ambani's wedding a few days ago -- serving food to guests along with Jayadi -- so it can't be that he is still having TOH blues...

Kapil may not have noticed Big B's absence. The starry turnout at the reception was pretty awesome, and a huge morale booster for Kapil who has had what Elizabeth R once called an annus horriblis this past year.
