Jet lost Rs 200 crore during the 5-day stir

Last updated on: September 14, 2009

Saroj Dutta, executive director of Jet Airways said in Mumbai on Sunday that the five-day long strike by pilots of Jet Airways has cost the company in terms of revenue losses to the tune of Rs 150 to 200 crore (Rs 1.5 to 2 billion).

More than half the carrier's 760 pilots had reported sick since September 12, forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights and affecting thousands of passengers. The standoff ended after talks between the two sides late on Saturday.
