First up we received this image from Naveen G of Bangalore, shot at the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary in Mysore. "It looks like the crocodile is gonna eat the birds!" he says.

Amit Gupta contributed this snapshot, stating, "I clicked this at Timber Trail Resort in Himachal Pradesh. The rain drops added a lot to the beauty of this flower. Nature is really great. "

"This picture is taken at Kabini Riverfront," says Avinash R Lavale. "The arrival of the monsoons reflects the happiness of Aarya (Beautiful Goddess). Hope the monsoons are satisfactory and all the farmers do well."

And finally, Subbiah Murugan of Qatar e-mailed in this pic taken during his honeymoon to Kumarakom, Kerala. "It was nice to experience the first droplets of the monsoons there," he muses.
