Hyosung GT650R

The GT650R is a sports bike which features full fairing. Taking heavy design cues from the Hayabusa for design, the GT650R will please most when it comes to styling.

This mean machine features a 650cc V twin 4 stroke, 2-cylinder engine with DOHC technology. What this means is 73bhp of power @ 9000 RPM and 61 NM of torque at 7500 RPM.

This helps the GT650R reach 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds and on to a top speed of over 200 kmph. Phew...!

By the way, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal turned out to be Hyosung's first customer in India.

We in India love cruisers (the Bullets are proof of that) and the ST7 is aimed at the same direction. Powered by a 678cc, liquid cooled 90 degree DOHC V-twin motor, the ST7 will deliver 58 bhp of power @ 8000 RPM and 57NM of torque at 6000 RPM.

Mated to a five speed manual transmission, this Hyosung is available in white, red and black colours.

Priced at Rs. 5.69 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the ST7 is a cruiser bike which will catch the fancy of most Indians.

Talking about 0 to 100kmph is pointless because when you are on the ST7, you will enjoy the wind in your helmet more than anything.

Conclusion

Both these bikes are very good machines for biking enthusiasts.

Featuring good amount of power along with ample value for money, the Hyosung superbike should do well to path the way for 250cc bikes from the Korean major.

Garware Motors plans to sell 2,000 units in one year. That just goes to show how fast the biking trend is catching up. Remember in 2008 only 200 superbike were sold and yes we called that an achievement.
