Kallol Datta: Shocking, profanity-tinged inspirations
![]() |
On Day Five of the LFW, designer Kallol Datta stuck to his preference for the morbid and the shocking. Showcasing his latest collection, Avante Garde F***, which was inspired by infestation, tumours, landmines and bullet wounds (!), here's a glimpse of what took to the runway.
Commencing the show was Surelee Joseph in this calico antifit tunic.

Note how some of the stick figures printed all over the dress is missing half a leg -- that is the designer's silent statement against landmines.

Next we have this yellow dragonfly print drape, worn over a black bodysuit and leggings.
