The price tag remains the same: Rs 9.03 lakh; the looks too. Here are five upgrades that make the 2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP different from its earlier version

Italian manufacturer Ducati has upgraded its ravishing supermotard machine -- the Hypermotard SP with a couple of technical changes that come to life with a new shade. The machine is being offered at the same price tag of around Rs. 9.03 lakh (approx value calculated according to the current exchange rate).

Moreover, the 2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP looks exactly the same as before. To know the real difference let's get to the upgrades and other important bits about the bike.

Styling

The 2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP is still as lively and thrilling as before. It’s just that a new outfit has been designed for it. The bike is now offered in Corse livery with Red and White colour scheme that makes it look prettier than before.

The high aerodynamics with minimal fairing gives the 2015 Ducati Hypermotard SP magnetic, sporty touch. The slim and lean structure with sharp and edgy front fascia makes the bike run effortlessly with quick acceleration.

The Hypermotard SP houses the tweaked 821cc Testrastetta motor that now has an advanced multi-map structure, which is also seen on 1199 Panigale S. The engine is mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox and it can be used in three smart modes -- Race, Sport and Wet.

To adapt different riding styles or conditions of the road, these three modes are introduced with the ride.

Race and Sport mode offers a thrilling 110bhp that makes the rider experience thrilling, while Wet mode takes out a good 75bhp that enhances the rider's control on slippery terrains by subtracting the power output.

The bike has a strong tubular steel Trellis frame that crafts the bike very well. The suspension systems working for the bike are fully adjustable -- Marzocchi inverted forks at the front with a travel of 185mm, and Ohlins mono-shock at the rear powered by a built-in “gas” tank with a single sided swing-arm and 175mm travel.

The suspensions are strong enough to offer a comfortable ride on several terrains effortlessly.

The Ducati Hypermotard runs on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP front 120/70 ZR17 inch tyre and a rear 180/55 ZR17 inch tyre.

The tyres sport unique alloy wheels that compliment the design of the bike. The front wheel is equipped with the dual 320mm semi -- floating discs, radially mounted Monobloc Brembo calipers with 4-piston 2-pad, axial pump with adjustable lever; the rear is coupled with 245mm disc with 2-piston caliper. The braking system is further enhanced with the installation of a 3-level Anti-lock braking system.

Ducati with its class-apart-innovation has made the super-machine very safe for the rider. The maker has incorporated 3-level ABS for amazing braking experience that will help the rider control the bike in every possible situation.

The braking system plus the handling is further made superior with the use of an 8-level traction control system that keeps the bike grounded on most occasions.
