More than half of Indian employees believe their bosses have done a good job in preparing them for future endeavour and success, according to the latest survey from Kelly Services, a workforce solutions company.

The findings, part of the Kelly Global Workforce Index, obtained views of approximately 97,000 people in 30 countries, including almost 2,000 in India.

About 58 per cent in India said their bosses had done a good job in preparing them for future success.

About 29 per cent disagreed and the remaining 14 per cent were uncertain.

Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh were at 61 per cent and 65 per cent, respectively, of employees giving their bosses a good report.

Delhi's was 55 per cent.

"In this dynamic economy, where employer brand has huge significance, an employee's view of an organisation and its leadership certainly carries a lot of credibility and has a major impact on the ability of a business to attract and retain talent," said Kamal Karanth, managing director, Kelly Services India.

The survey also indicated that around three-fourth of those surveyed would be willing to recommend their current employer to a friend or acquaintance.

"In the existing competitive scenario, employers are under constant and intense scrutiny from a range of stakeholders, including their own employees.

"The senior management needs to put their best foot forward and win the trust of employees to shape not only the company's future but the employees' as well, as both successes are inter-related," said James Agrawal, consulting director and head, BTI Consultants.
