The vehicle is slightly over four meter, though it doesn't fool the excise duty cut but if locally manufactured (which certainty it will, if launched) Nissan could place it bellow Terrano as a worthy competitor against the Ford EcoSport.

Ford Fiesta hatch

Ford India didn't taste the success with the Fiesta which the company enjoyed with the previous generation (now known as Classic).

The current Fiesta is one of the most underrated car in India. Inappropriate pricing doomed the fate of this technically advance vehicle; despite the price slashes, sales continues to dip.

The company is back with the next-gen Fiesta and Ford removed most of the nigglings pointed by the customers.

The car will hit the showrooms soon, expect it to be priced aggressively this time like the Ecosport.

Ford Fiesta hatch

It’s not the sedan we wish for, its the ravishing hot hatch alterego we desire for.

Ford Fiesta hatch looks way better than the sedan and if launched, it will sit above the Figo and rivals against the 'Uber cool' Hyundai i20.

The hot hatch is pulled by the same 1.0 EcoBoost engine that powers the EcoSport - the engine churns out 125PS and 170Nm of peak torque.

The hatch excels i20 both in looks and raw power and it undoubtedly inherits Ford's dynamic ride and handling ability.

On the diesel front, the car comes in the 1.5 TDCI unit churning out 90bhp and 181Nm of peak torque.

Another quintessential French player in the auto world is Peugeot (The same company of which Peugeot 309 notchback came to India in late 90's through a joint venture between the PAL and Peugeot).

The car had no problems at all, it was the ailing management that doomed the fate of this brilliant product and company's fortune in our country.
