Junk medicines, Swami Ramdev tells Toronto

October 16, 2007
There were people in the group who have been doing pranayam and other exercises for a long time, some for a short time, and some were there for the first time. He started asking whether someone has knee problems and have been prescribed knee-replacement surgery. Many people stood up and then he asked whether someone has been cured as a result of yogic exercises and doesn't require surgery. People came on the podium to share their experience of no more surgery.

One woman said she had breast cancer and was taking chemotherapy. At one stage her doctors declared she wouldn't live for more than five months. She said doctors were baffled when after starting pranayam and other exercises, she was almost cured of breast cancer. "I don't need chemotherapy anymore. It was two years back when doctors said my lifespan was just five months. I am still alive and kicking after two years."

One woman was told she needed a liver transplant. She too baffled the Canadian doctors when, after breathing and other exercises she learnt from Swami Ramdev and his disciples, there was no need for liver transplant.
