In memoriam: Kocheril Raman Narayanan
After working at University College, Trivandrum, as a lecturer for a while, Narayanan was denied a permanent lectureship and offered a clerical post instead. He refused to accept his degree in protest. Eventually, at the request of the University, he received it half a century later.
With money an issue, he left Trivandrum for the nation's capital, working as a journalist for a while. Here's something you probably didn't know - Narayanan once interviewed Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in Mumbai, in 1945!
