I was part of the Indian Air Force marching contingent that took part in the parade. This was my first Republic Day, but I participated in the Independence Day flag hoisting and IAF parade last year.
But this one was different. It is the most prestigious parade. When you march through Rajpath, with so many people watching you, it is a very different experience. My brother came to watch me, while my family was glued to their television sets.
Before the parade, everyone was asking me about my position. I am sure they all looked out for me as I marched.
