Militants torture, kill one in Poonch

In a macabre killing, Pakistan-sponsored terrorists carved their names with a knife on the body of civilian before killing him in border town of Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

Official sources in Jammu said two Pakistani terrorists, identified as Abu Juniad and Abu Usma of the banned Lashkar-e-Tayiba abducted one Basharat Hussain from his house in Kasblandi village late on Wednesday night.

They took Hussain to a forest area and tortured him severely, before carving out their names on Hussian's body, the sources said.

Hussain was then shot dead and his body thrown near the village.

Incensed at this incident, the residents of Mendhar staged a bandh in the town.
