Mulla, according to the director, shows Dileep in a completely different pattern. He thinks that the movie is a full fledged entertainer on the lines of his earlier entertainers, the ones made before Arabikkadha, Classmates, Achanurangatha Veedu and Chanthupottu.
Lal Jose says that they were originally planning to cast Meera Jasmine as the female lead, as it was an important role. "But many factors did not allow us to opt for her, including her busy schedules and of course, we had to cut down on the budget as well," says Lal Jose.
Another Meera takes the heroine's mantle as a result. Meera Nandakumar, a television anchor has been roped in to play Lachi in the film. The director feels that the new girl looks perfect for the character.
Vidyasagar has composed the music and Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma the lyrics. Vipin Mohan is the man behind the camera.
