Sir Elton John's gift to Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton's US presidential campaign just got a boost -- from pop music, no less!

British pop singer, Sir Elton John, and long-time Clinton supporter, performed to thousands of cheering fans at a fund-raising concert called Elton and Hillary: One Night Only, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York on April 9.

'I've always been a Hillary supporter,' news agencies quoted the 61-year old singer as saying.

'There is no one more qualified to lead America,' he added before launching into his 1970 breakthrough hits, Your Song and Border Song.

And money was not the issue. According to news agencies, fans of the musician and Democratic candidate shelled out as much as $2,300, after the cheapest tickets, $125 and $250, were sold out, thus filling Hillary's campaign coffers with $2.5 million.
