When the others were watching Sivaji, the boss (yes, Rajnikanth) took time off to watch a small film called Chennai 600028 that is creating waves in Tamil Nadu.
Not even in his wildest dreams did Venkat Prabhu, the director of Chennai 600028 imagine that his film would have such an impact.
The son of famous Tamil music composer Gangai Amaran, Venkat always wanted to be in films even as his family packed him off to the UK soon after his schooling. He came back after taking a degree in Accountancy and joined not an accountancy firm, but the film industry.
In this interview, he explains how he became the director of Chennai 600028 when his friend S P B Charan (son of S P Balasubramanyam) decided to produce it, the struggles in the venture and the final happiness.
