I looove Mr Bachchan. I absolutely love and respect him."

The first time she worked in a film featuring Mr B was in Mohabattein The role was small, one easily lost among the three seductively dressed nymphets in the multi-starrer, which also starred the supernova of our time, Shah Rukh Khan.

This time, it is another story. Amitabh had worked with her husband Vipul on the director's first film Aankhen and she -- like many other first-timers who worked with him -- was awed by him. Apart from the now well known punctuality, his ability to put newcomers at ease, his not being intimidating nature etc, she felt the legendary superstar highlighted her own performance.

"When you are with a good actor, he brings the best in you. He compliments you. My work in Monsoon Wedding was appreciated so much because I had Naseerbhai in front of me. Exactly like Manoj (Bajpai) in Satya."

Mr B also gave Shefali some valuable advice.

"There was this scene we had to do and Vipul asked me to walk from one place to another. I asked Vipul why I needed to walk that way. He said because he had worked the camera accordingly. So I asked him if he shouldn't have positioned the camera according to the way I wanted to move. Amitji told me, 'Shefali, he is your husband, that is why he is even explaining it to you. You move because your director wants you to move. Period."

"What he said was so true because I have to interpret my director's vision. If I cannot be true to him, how can I be true to my audience?"
