It was while shooting for Subhash Ghai's Yaadein in London that Kareena got an offer from Sooraj Barjatya to play the author-backed role of Sanjana in MPKDH.

Working in a Rajshri production was an experience for Kareena.


The normally vociferous star surprised many by her subdued turn with statements like, 'I am not number one'. Kapoor credits Barjatya for this transformation.

Incidentally, Kareena's elder sister, Karisma, had worked in Rajshri's last endeavour Hum Saath-Saath Hai, co-starring Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Mohnish Bahl, Tabu and Sonali Bendre.
