Madhumati (1958)

Amongst his most successful films ever, he plays Devendra, a man who is transported to a past life when he was called Anand and worked as a manager on a tea estate.

Anand falls in love with the tribal girl Madhumati (Vyjayanthimala), but their relationship remains unfulfilled, as she dies a violent death trying to escape the lecherous advances of Raja Ugranarayan (Pran).
