First introduced in Germany in 1998, (Burgman means "urban man" in Deutschland) the 2007 version is the first redesign since 2003.
Upgrades include more muscle from the single-cylinder, rubber-mounted engine, which also runs cleaner and meets Euro 3 emission requirements.
Engine-wise, Meister Burgman has morphed from a 385 cc single overhead cam to a double with a longer piston stroke, an upgrade that jolts this mid-range maxi-scooter up a notch.
And greenies will breathe a little easier knowing that the Burgman's new oval section exhaust system meets Euro III requirements.
With the Burgman 400, Suzuki is the first manufacturer to take up the challenge of maxi scooters of over 250 cc.
