Ketan Parekh's judicial custody extended

The chief metropolitan magistrate, S C Mishra, rejected on Thursday the bail petition of tainted stock broker Ketan Parekh and extended his judicial custody for another 14 days.

Parekh, allegedly a key man behind the Rs 120-crore Calcutta Stock Exchange scam, which surfaced in March 2001, surrendered before the court as per the directions of Bombay high court.
