LFW: Tarun Tahiliani sets the ramp on fire

Tarun Tahiliani, in collaboration with denims giant Levi's, put up a fantastic showing on Day Two of the Lakme Fashion Week. The set was straight out of the legendary Studio 54, with disco balls, silver chains and chandeliers hanging from the rafters and blue tinsel as the backdrop.

Things kicked off with Nina Manuel sporting the first of six distinct looks -- the Indian Apsara. Meant to emulate dancing goddesses, the creations were all about dark denims with gold detailing, as is obvious from this jewelled chain bra and coated jeans.

The four other looks that followed were Midnight Dust (black, crystallised components and hi-sheen denims); Broc Rock (Indian brocades and velvets); the Couture collection (Indian zardozi, a trademark of Tahiliani's); and Treasure Chest (pearls, meshed fabrics, seaweed and jewels). The sixth look, worn by showstopper Sonam Kapoor -- read on to learn more about it!
