Road tripping to Munnar
I left Villipuram at 8 am for Tiruchi, 315 km away. The traffic was heavy and I could not maintain constant speed. The road is quiet bad for a NH. I took the Tiruchi bypass which took me 45 min to negotiate.
At 10.45 am I was on my way to Dindigul, 95 km from Tiruchi. The NH 45 terminates at Dindigul. Unfortunately I had a flat tyre about 20 km before Dindigul. After changing the tyre, which took half an hour, I reached Dindigul bypass around 12 noon.
Airfare for Rs 599 and less!
As the journey ahead was through the ghats I decided not to take a chance and stopped at MyTvs on the bypass road to get the puncture fixed. The staff at MyTvs was very courteous and efficient but I did lose an hour of my time.
At 1.15 pm I hit the road again. From the bypass I took the right to Kodaikanal road. This is a state highway but is very well maintained.
