Keep it matte

Nothing can possibly be more out than shimmering skin finishes. While shiny foundation and body glitter were all the rage a while ago, the look for the new year dictates a more refined matte finish, as far as your face and skin are concerned.
Keep things subtle and classy, even for a night on the town -- glossy lipstick and striking eyeshadow will look more tasteful and less overdone on a matte foundation.
