Match your eye-shadow to your lipstick -- contrast is out. Matching shades will give you a polished, uniform look. The violet eye shadow you see in the photograph is set off wonderfully by the plum shade of lipstick. If, on the other hand, blue or green eye shadow were used with the same shade for the lips, the result would be disastrous!
