Indian International Salsa Congress 2008 -- Mumbai represents!

August 21, 2008

Though Bangalore has long claimed the crown as India's salsa capital, Mumbai and Delhi are catching up quickly. The blossoming Salsa scene in Mumbai owes much to Kaytee Namgyal, one of the city's expert dancers, who heads Salsa India Dance Company, which has studios in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Kolkata.

Here, Kaytee talks a little about Salsa in the subcontinent, before giving way to his owned highly trained troupe of dancers. They performed an interesting Salsa/Fusion dance that drew from both latin rhythms and Madonna's "Vogue".

Check it out!
