Mist in my room: Munnar diary
There are the regular places to see kind of brochures that one can pick up
and make a go but I am the play by the ear kind of traveller. Just going
with the flow, stopping at points depending on how crowded or pretty a
place looked.
Daunted by the long queue at the ticket counter, I gave the Eravikulam National Park -- the only national park managed by an NGO -- a miss and preferred driving around, which turned out to be a jolly good idea.
Airfare for Rs 100 and less!
Munnar town is busy but with some interesting shops stocking unusual
stuff. You can find here some superb home made chocolates, fresh banana
and tapioca wafers and dry fruits. If you want to buy your hair oils,
natural soaps and spices - there is some super stuff you can find here.
Greenery, good food, miles and miles of tea plantation, mist in my room,
yummy rum and raisin homemade chocolate - I just had the perfect holiday!
How to get there
