Sit with legs stretched straight out. Place a small stool, about a foot in height in front of you, near your feet. Inhale. Exhale.
Inhaling deeply, place your feet on the stool. Continue normal breathing. Place hands at your toes. If that is difficult you can place them on your thighs or on the stool or alongside your thighs. Keep your attention on your toes, holding the pose for a few seconds the first time, but later, after a few weeks or months of practice, extending duration to a minute or so.
Exhale, to lower feet back to floor.
