Spellbound in God's Own Country

The backwaters of Kerala have been aptly named God's Own Country.

I was blessed to witness this paradise on earth in the monsoons.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

I wanted to take a small break from my hectic work schedule to unwind and relax, and to spend time with family, away from the city din.

The backwaters of Kerala was the first place that struck my mind.

Our trip started with an overnight train journey from Chennai to Kottayam, in Kerala. A light drizzle greeted us at Kottayam, along with our guide who was waiting with a placard to take us to Kumarakom.
