Lara: Runs and Records
Earlier this year, Lara went past Gary Sobers record for the most number of centuries by a West Indian when he scored a hundred against South Africa in the second Test of the series in Port of Spain, Trinidad in April.
Lara overtook Steve Waugh as the second highest run-scorer in history in the second Test at Hobart last week and arrived in Adelaide needing 213 to equal Border's record.
India's Sachin Tendulkar is Lara's closest competitor with 10134 runs from 123 matches.
