Shortly after US and allied forces attacked Iraq, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee held informal discussions with members of the Cabinet Committee on Security on the evolving situation.

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani, Defence Minister George Fernandes, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and Finance Minister Jaswant Singh acrisis ttended the hour-long meeting, sources said.
