TV channel beams pictures
of Saddam in Baghdad

April 19, 2003 10:29 IST

Abu Dhabi TV on Friday showed footage of what it said was Saddam Hussein in Baghdad.

The footage, similar to the one broadcast on April 4 showing Saddam moving around in Baghdad, shows him saluting a throng of supporters in Baghdad on April 9, the day the capital fell to the US-led coalition forces.

The state-run channel also played an audio tape which it said was the last radio speech broadcast by Saddam.

Abu Dhabi TV said the pictures were shot in the northern Aadhamiya district.
