International inspection of Indian nuke reactors is ''routine'': Gujral

Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral on Thursday described India's decision to throw open nuclear power reactors for inspection by international experts as an ''ongoing process and a routine affair''.

''It is a routine matter, blown up by the press,'' Gujral told the media hours before emplaning for his overseas tour which will take him to Tanzania, the United States and Italy.

Earlier, the media reported that India had decided to throw open its two nuclear power reactors at Kakrapar in Gujarat for international inspection.

Members of the Tokyo-based World Association of Nuclear Operators will visit the two reactors in November, the reports said.
