July 14, 2008 12:23 IST

Central Bureau of Investigation director Vijay Shankar has blamed the media for publishing and airing speculative stories on the Arushi murder case.

"The media has to draw a line regarding sensational stories," he said.

The CBI,

he said, would investigate the alleged destruction of evidence by the Noida police in the Aarushi murder case.

"We would look into that aspect," he said. Though he had not provided the list of the stories, but he was unhappy with the stories that were filed well before the investigating agency presented the facts before the court of law.
