Mysore Maharaja's victory march

Tailing Balarama in this one-mile-long victory procession were several elephants, horses, camels, 47 tableaux depicting various cultural and historic events of Karnataka and bullock carts.
Folk dances and cultural songs kept the crowd enchanted.
Dasara, the origin of which goes back to the Vijayanagar dynasty in the 15th century, was continued by the Wodeyars of Mysore under the leadership of Raja Wodeyar in the year 1610.
