JD-S holds its cards tight

May 25, 2008 10:48 IST

Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda-led Janata Dal-Secular appeared to be keeping options open on a post-poll tie-up with either Bharatiya Janata Party or Congress in case of a hung verdict in Karanataka assembly elections.

He said these are early trends and that he would talk only after a clear picture emerges in the afternoon.

"We don't want to shake hands with the BJP or Congress. Even on Saturday, they had said that the JD-S is untouchable. Let us see," former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said in his initial reaction.

Kumaraswamy blamed the media for creating a campaign against his party saying it was against them from the beginning.
