A true brave heart

December 22, 2008
The hospital staff decided to call him Sheru, in recognition of the brave heart attitude he showed during treatment. Even today, whenever his wound is being cleaned, he lies down quietly and does not move an inch, perhaps recognising the fact that those treating him toiled day and night to save his life.

"Normally, stray dogs are not that co-operative. But he cooperated with us during his treatment. He was responding to us and even today, you can see that I can treat him without using the nozzle. We believe he has the heart of a lion and we named him Sheru," said Dr Kaginkar.
