PM's sister passes away

Urmila Mishra, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's sister, died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Friday morning.

Urmila, 72, was suffering from cancer and had been brought to Delhi from Gwalior by Vajpayee on April 28 for further treatment.

The prime minister visited the hospital in the morning, PMO sources said.

Urmila's body would be taken to Gwalior by road, they said adding Vajpayee will attend the cremation scheduled for 2000 IST in the evening, they said.Urmila's son, Anup Mishra, is a BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh.
