Terrorist-underworld nexus behind
Pandya's killing: Advani

March 27, 2003 17:25 IST

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Thursday said there appeared to be a terrorist-underworld nexus behind the killing of former Gujarat minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Haren Pandya in Ahmedabad.

Advani, who visited the spot where Pandya was killed, said, "This may not be confined to Gujarat. But investigations are on and I hope that we will be able to trace the assassins."

Earlier, Advani and BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu paid floral tributes to Pandya at his residence 'Neelam'.
