.32 gun was used to kill Pandya

Former Gujarat home minister, Haren Pandya's, assassins used a .32 calibre gun, a senior police officer said on Thursday.

Ahemedabd Police Commissioner K R Kaushik said five bullets of a .32 calibre weapon were recovered from Pandya's body during its post-mortem.

Pandya was shot dead by a mobike-borne assailant in Law Garden area of Ahmedabad on Wednesday just as he was getting into his car after a morning walk.

The post-mortem report said he died two to three hours before his body arrived at the V S Hospital, which could be between 0730 - 0800 IST.

Home Secretary K Nityanandam said witnesses -- shopkeepers and fellow morning walkers -- were being identified and questioned.
