POTA court summons Raja Bhaiya, two others

A Prevention of Terrorism Act court has summoned former Uttar Pradesh sports minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, his father Udai Pratap Singh and a legislator Akshay Pratap Singh on February 12.

Kanpur District Judge and presiding officer of the POTA court Shailendra Saxena on Monday issued the summons, acting on an application moved by the Pratapgarh police.

At present, the three have been held under the Gangster and some other Acts. Raghuraj Pratap Singh in being held in the Banda jail, Udai Pratap Singh is in the Pratapgarh jail and Akshay Pratap Singh, MLC, is in the Mirzapur jail.

The state has five POTA courts - in Kanpur, Allahabad, Mirzapur, Chitrakoot and Jhansi in Kanpur.
