At Ramkund, after the dip, pilgrims and sadhus made a beeline to offer prayers at the Ganga Godavari temple, which opens only for the Kumbh once in 12 years. The temple was built in 1818 AD.

Over 2 million pilgrims took the dip on Sunday, August 17, morning. By the evening the atmosphere was festive with people crowding the streets and bylanes of Nashik.
