"I have done my job," was Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Chhagan Bhujbal's reaction to the court judgment dismissing the case against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray earlier today.

"I have been stating from day one that Thackeray will be arrested and produced in court, while it is up to the court to decide on the judgment," said Bhujbal.

Asked if he felt that his decision to arrest Thackeray was wrong, considering that the case was dismissed by the court, Bhujbal said, "I still believe whatever I did was right and there was no harm in that."

"Thackeray had always stated that he won't go to court or be arrested. But we have proved our point by arresting him and showed to the people of Maharashtra that nobody is above the law," Bhujbal added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has stated that his government will go to the high court in appeal against Thackeray's discharge.
