Kareena wants more!

After playing a glamorous Barbie in a series of films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mujhse Dosti Karoge and Khushi, Kareena Kapoor's had enough.

The actress reportedly admitted to a scriptwriter that she is fed up of seeing herself playing the same kind of characters, and wants to experiment with roles and do more than just candyfloss fare.

And filmmakers are more than willing to oblige. She plays substantial roles in Dharamesh Darshan's Bewafaa (Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar), Govind Nihalani's Dev (Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Fardeen Khan), Deepa Mehta's River Moon (Rahul Khanna), Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani (Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji) and Mani Ratnam's untitled film (Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji).

Plus, Kareena is also doing Anant Balani's Chameli in which she plays a sex worker for the first time. The film pairs her opposite Rahul Bose.

Where is the hungama?

The man behind 2000's rip-roaring comedy Hera Pheri -- Priyadarsan -- is back with another fun film, Hungama.

It may be recalled his last Hindi release, Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar, was a bummer at the box-office.

While YTGYMG boasted of an aggressive promotional campaign, Hungama -- like Hera Pheri -- is playing quiet.

"I feel the film will be hot when it hits the theatres," he says. Priyadarsan feels "the best thing which works is word of mouth."

Hera Pheri opened to a tame response. But through word of mouth, the collections picked up and the Akshay Kumar-Suniel Shetty-Paresh Rawal starrer went on to become a hit.
