Like an assorted bunch of exotic fragrances, 2008 witnessed a terrific blend of variety in Bollywood soundtracks. And though melody reigned supreme, stylised genres like rock, rap and hip-hop, earned their share of glory as well.

And this caramel gooiness is reflected in Atif Aslam's smooth 'n' smitten rendition of Sayeed Quadri's lovesick poetry against Pritam's silvery tune, which cleverly maintain a low key, allowing Atif's terrific vocals to do all the talking.
