Vegetable Pulao

    ~Ingredients

    1 cup rice
    2 cup water
    200 gm cauliflower florets
    1/2 cup fresh peas
    1 large onion
    2 black cardamoms
    1 green cardamom
    1 inch cinnamon stick
    4 peppercorns
    4 cloves
    4 tbsp oil
    1 tsp salt

    ~Method

    Wash and soak the rice in water for an hour. Drain and keep aside.

    Slice the onion lengthwise and chop the potatoes into small pieces.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon, cloves, black peppers and cardamom.

    Add onions and fry till they become brown.

    Now add all the vegetables and saute for two to three minutes.

    Then add the drained rice and salt. Mix well.

    Add two cups of water and boil.

    When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame, cover and cook till the rice is done.
