              Tabu is rediff.com's current Star Of The Fortnight.

          When a filmmaker is looking for a great actress with a beautiful face, he makes a
          beeline for Tabu's door. She is one of few heroines who has successfully bridged
          the divide between art and commercial cinema.

          This versatile actress has, over the last few years, won both the critic's awards
          and the National Award for her sensitive and thought-provoking performances

in films like Maachis and Hu Tu Tu. In the same period, she has displayed her sense of comedy in films like Biwi No 1 and her commercial acceptance in Hum Saath-Saath Hain.

She is all set to add a few notches to her career with Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar and Ghaat with Manoj Bajpai, and Tarqeeb with Nana Patekar.
