Nagaland: EC orders repoll in 51 stations

February 27, 2003 19:35 IST

The Election Commission has ordered repoll in 51 polling stations on Friday in Nagaland, which went to polls along with Himachal Pradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya on Wednesday.

The repoll has been ordered on the basis of reports received from central poll observers, chief electoral officers and returning officers, a Commission spokesman said on Thursday.

The Commission has also ordered repoll in three polling stations in Meghalaya, one each in Tripura and Himachal Pradesh.

Repolling would also be held in two polling stations in Ratabari assembly constituency in Assam where a byelection had been held.
