But before the Master Blaster makes it to the eminent museum, his wax model will make it. Come April 24 -- Tendulkar's 36th birthday -- and the model will be on display at Tussauds.
"It’s a great honour," said Tendulkar, with his trademark modesty.

"I’m proud to be the first Indian sportsman to be modeled there and am obviously very happy that my contributions to Indian cricket have been appreciated. This honour is a reflection of that."
The statement that followed was not quite characteristic of the 36-year-old.
"Such offers come to a few and come to only those who have achieved something in life," said Tendulkar, risking being a tad immodest.
