Saluting the Legends

Sunil Gavaskar never scored a century at Lord's in a Test or one day international, but hit a brisk 188 for the Rest of the World on the hallowed turf against the MCC in 1987. It was his last first-class game.

Dilip Vengsarkar scored three centuries at Lord's on three successive tours: 103 in 1979, 157 in 1982 and 126 not out in 1986. His hundred in 1986 helped India win their first Test at the Mecca of cricket.

Playing only his the second Test in 1986, Venkatesh Prasad claimed 5 wickets for 76 runs at Lord's.
